Our Story: Built on Doing Things Right
Every homeowner or builder has a story about a bad contractor, surprise charges, unfinished jobs, unlicensed techs. That’s exactly what Tom Corrigan set out to fix when he founded Corrigan Electric nearly 30 years ago.
Tom Corrigan – Founder & Master Electrician has over 55 years in the trade. His influence extends far beyond Corrigan Electric. He’s a mentor, a standards-setter, and a proud guide for the next generation of electricians.
Tom didn’t just want to run an electrical company. He wanted to create the kind of company he’d trust in his own home, one where skilled, licensed electricians do the work, and the customer is always treated with respect. A company that gives back to the community that has given so much to him.
Today, Corrigan Electric is still family-run under 2nd generation leadership. Tom’s sons, Troy and Shawn Corrigan, lead the business with a commitment to quality that’s made us the go-to name for thousands of customers across the region. You’ve probably seen our trucks. Troy runs day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. A Master Electrician and leader in the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), Troy is passionate about training, education, and setting the bar higher across the industry.
Shawn Corrigan
Vice President / FIeld Manager / Master Electrician
Shawn is frequently on job sites meeting with contractors and homeowners ensuring our team has what they need. He’s also a champion of apprenticeship training and a key part of Corrigan’s quality control.

James keeps projects moving smoothly and supports compliance and contractor logistics so every job stays on track and on budget.
