Troy Corrigan, a Master Electrician, has been with Corrigan Electric Company since it was founded in 1995. He graduated from the Independent Electrical Contractors Association apprenticeship program in June 1999. As President and General Manager, Troy is tasked with formulating and implementing policies and business strategies that provide the best overall direction. He facilitates and oversees all of our training programs, as well as their completion. He also coordinates operational activities at the highest level with help from his management staff.

Troy has been a board member on IEC of KY & Southern Indiana since 2005, as well as an education presenter. He was the chapter president from 2008-2010 and is a current IEC National Membership Committee Chair, holding a position as a national board member representing the Midwest region as regional director. He also holds a position on the IEC Event Task Force. Recently, he was sworn in as the 2019 IEC National Vice President and looks forward to becoming the IEC National President to help shape, grow, and better the electrical industry.

Married 19 years to his high school sweetheart, Shannon (together 28 years), they have a beautiful daughter named Madison. Their family wouldn’t be complete without their American dog (schnauzer / beagle mix), Sophie.

Troy is a big UofL fan and Indianapolis Colts season ticket holder. He is extremely active and you can find him working out 5-6 days a week, including boot camp, mountain bike riding, golfing, and occasionally running—even when not being chased! A fun fact about Troy: he once drove 17 hours straight, in a single day, and 8 1/2 hours the next day to get to Sedona, Arizona. He then drove another 25 ½ hours straight to get back home. We will have to ask him what was in Sedona on our next interview!

Troy is an essential part of the team. He says his proudest moments at work are “the hard-working team at Corrigan Electric" and loves "getting to see his employees and their families grow.”
